Do you ever have negative thoughts? That voice in your head that says “your music is garbage”?? Or is it just me… This sounds a little corny but it’s true. When I recorded this solo at a rehearsal, I viewed it as a throwaway. Mentally, I convinced myself that I was playing poorly and that it would never be posted. I felt bad about the solo for a while after… until I recently relistened to it and I was blown away! I have been reading #theartistsway by #juliacameron and I have been amazed at how it’s effecting my path towards creativity and self-awareness. Anyway I’m self aware NOW that I actually sounded pretty damn good so enjoy this sexy trombone solo and have a great day! This is how we made a DIY music video… from start to finish! It all started when a fan DM’d us and said we could record music at his place… We needed a song, so, @allymacmusic got to work and then @therumster arranged the music for our BIG BIG band… We spent the summer playing gigs and saving our pennies for the video shoot… And now the video for our new song, “Heart Smile” is premiering tomorrow on our YouTube channel at 12 PM.
